Earthquake California, December 5 Earthquakes, Earthquake Southern California, Earthquakes Today

According to scientists, California has more than 99% chance of having earthquakes of magnitude approximately 6.7 or even larger. Largest earthquake in California was on 1857 January 9 of magnitude 7.9.
On friday night, December 5 2008, there was a moderate earthquake in Southern California of magnitude 5.5. It could be felt from San Diego to Los Angeles.
the US geological survey said, it struck just outside Ludlow about 193 kilometers east of Los Angeles.
Till now there are no immediate reports of damage in San Diego along the coast or Jusua tree where the quake was also felt.
